Memorial Day

Benny Goodman was born today in 1909, why do I associate him with Memorial Day? Because he was famous during World War II and my grandfather fought in World War II in the air force. My grandfather was shot down twice over  the Pacific and survived. He went on to run a business and became a father to 8 kids with my grandmother. Anyway, when I think of that somehow it makes me think of Sing Sing Sing (With a Swing)  because it was a song that was played during the war and plus I think he had a lot of swing.
