Have something to look forward to

I was just thinking it's nice to have things to look forward to whether it's something big or small. Today my "something to look forward to" thing was the new Despicable Me movie that is intended to come out this summer. I know it's rather wacky but I'm not ashamed that Minions make me laugh. If I'm committed to anything, I'm committed to spreading great love. I believe the quote above holds true because the love I feel for people in general makes me wish many things for people. Even if I'll never meet all the people I want to spread love to, I still wish the following things for anyone who reads this.

• I wish that people can always find the good things in each day so that they can feel that those good things might outnumber whatever difficulties they might face.
• I wish that people can always feel much loved. I know I may never meet people who read this but I still send my love to all of you in the hope that it brings you some comfort in a time you might be in need of it.   
• I wish that you have a chance to laugh and/or smile each day (even if the things that make you laugh or smile seem very small), those are things that make days infinitely better. 
• I wish that at some point in your life that you are able to tell all the people that you love, simply that you love them. I can't help feeling that people don't always make it known how much they care about each other and that thought makes me feel rather sad at times. To me, love is something that is best shared and so wherever you are, if you love people I hope that you find ways to ensure the people you love know that you love them.

Something to never forget

I think it's nice to know that there's always the ability to pray and love and to forgive. All of these things bring me a lot of peace and I hope the have the same effect on others. I send everyone much love now and always.

Don't count the days

I like this quote because for a while now I've felt like I've been counting the days  until I can feel safe going outside. However this quote makes me think about how each of my days needs to count for something and if I can accomplish something good or do something nice for at least 1 person each day then I feel like I'm working towards making each day count. Mood boosting

I feel like especially nowadays,  mood boosting is needed. Thus, I've been thinking/doing things to boost my mood each day. Today it was all about wearing a blue and yellow knitted hat designed to look like a Minion. Minions just never fail to make me happy. When things calm down

I was just thinking about things I'd do once it's safe to leave my apartment for an extended period of time. So I created a sort of bucket list for fun things I want to do when this quarantine ends. So here's my list of fun things I plan to do when things calm down and everyone doesn't have to stay home:
*Have coffee with friends
*Go to the library
*Go to church
*Go to the gym
*Visit my family
*Just GO!

Music in the time of a pandemic

I've been seeing clips of people who are being quarantined in Italy singing on their balconies and I just thought it was so nice and it shows how music can be great medicine. To everyone who is quarantined or who is ill, I am thinking of you and I wish you the very best.

I rather like the idea that each day brings opportunities for surprises. Today for example, I was surprised by the fact that I found they were selling chocolate flakes in a store close to where I work. (Chocolate flakes are basically sticks of chocolate shavings that people stick in ice creams.) I've only ever seen them in the UK prior to this day but seeing it today was a nice surprise and it reminded me of my family as my Mum is from the UK. To all who read this, I hope each day brings you new happy surprises.

I want to celebrate International Women's Day by celebrating my mom and sister who are awesome women and people I admire and love very much.
