Love for Betty White

 I really like the actress and comedienne Betty White and so when I saw this video of her, it really cheered me up today. The video really sweet because it shows a singer named Donny Osmond  singing to Betty and it was just so nice to watch. I hope that I age like Betty and enjoy every minute of the life I have. A lovely song for today

 It's the singer Norah Jones's birthday today and so I thought I'd share a song that she sings that always makes me happy when I hear it. The song is called "Everybody Needs a Best Friend" and it's cheerful and fun and just plain happy. I'm sharing it here in the hope it has the same effect on others. Things that make me happy

 Yesterday and today, to cheer myself up, I started thinking about all the things that make me happy here are a few things that made the list:

• My family and friends and my family's dog

• traveling to different places

It's the singer Lady Gaga's birthday today and to celebrate this event, I thought I'd share a performance that she gave  that I really liked. Sitting out in the sun

 Today for the first time in a while it was warm enough to sit outside. It was lovely sitting in the sun and feeling its warmth.  There's something about sunshine that really makes my soul feel good. A St. Patrick's Day Joke for the Directionally Challenged!

Good things that happened today

 In keeping with finding good things in each day, here are some good things that happened today:

• I was able to talk with friends which always helps me to feel happy. 
• I accomplished everything I wanted to accomplish today.
  
• I made myself a nice dinner of ravioli

More pandemic learning-the need to always love

To follow up on yesterday's post, I just wanted to add one more thing that I've learned from the pandemic which is, how much love there is in the world, how much people need love, and how important it is to tell people you love them because the world always needs more love. In that spirit, I send everyone best wishes and much love always. 

Pandemic learning

Now that we've been in pandemic for at least a year I got to thinking about the things I learned from living through this pandemic. So, here are a few things I've learned:

• People can be really good to each other, especially in times of crises. The amount of people who reach out and do things to help each other during this pandemic is always refreshing to see.
• Makes can be really cool fashion statements. The more colorful they are, the better they are!
• I never really thought about how good it feels to pray sometimes. There's something very comforting about having faith that things will get better. 
• It's good to tell people you love them, you never know when they might need to hear it the most.
• It's good to keep busy and do things you really enjoy, I started taking singing lessons because it's something I enjoy and want to improve on.

Good things that happened today

As I'm continuing to think of good things in each day, here are some good things that happened in my day.

• I was able to talk to my Mom and Dad which as always nice.
• I was able to participate in a weekly chat with some good friends. I always look forward to chatting with them. 
  
• I made a lovely stir fry for dinner that I hadn't made before which turned out really well.

Things I'm grateful for today

 In keeping with my goal of finding good things in each day, here are four good things I found in my day today.

1-I got a lovely text message from a friend I hadn't heard from in a while and we're planning to talk on the phone this week so that's something to look forward to.

2-I made homemade pizza for dinner which turned out really well and was quite tasty so that made me happy.

3-I got to see my coworkers/friends over zoom today and it's always nice to see them. 

4-I was able to talk to my Mum today which isn't an unusual thing but it's always lovely to talk with her.

Reaching out through sign language

 I saw this video about a young girl who learned sign language so she could communicate with her local mail carrier who happens to be deaf. I just thought the story was so nice because the girl was willing to go the extra mile to connect with someone. Plus, sign language is a really beautiful language to learn and to use to communicate. Whether or not you learn how to communicate with sign language,  any time you have the opportunity to meet someone or impact someone's life for the better, I hope you take that opportunity and use it to to do  something good.
