Today I had every intention
Of writing something in this post

The First Profession…

A physician, an engineer, and a politician were discussing who among them belonged to the oldest of the three professions. Each one of them thought they had this in the bag.
The physician said, 'Remember, on the sixth day God took a rib from Adam and fashioned Eve, making him the first surgeon. Therefore, medicine is the oldest profession.'

The singer Ella Fitzgerald was born today in 1917. When I found the lovely recording below of her singing "When You're Smilin'" it really made me feel good. Wherever you are reading this, I hope you had reason to smile today. I send you a smile through this post anyway!

Have your parade!

The singer Barbara Streisand was born today and that makes me think of a song she sang called "Don't Rain on My Parade." I like it because in times of need it gives me a sense of confidence. Even if things are hard for me, it's nice to think of a parade or I guess, a bunch of things that are happy.  Even if you don't have a parade, I hope that if you want to celebrate something, you don't let anything stop you!

Shirley Temple was born today in 1928 and I found this quote from her that I really liked. I think love is the best thing there is and I feel like as long as love exists, then things aren't so bad. That thought is a great comfort in times of need. Wherever you are reading this, I hope there is a lot of love in your life and I wish you lots of love in any case. 

Autocorrect Humor!

Autocorrect, (that ingenious little invention for cellphones that "corrects" your texts when it thinks you wrote something you didn't mean to write, or tries to think for you when it "knows" what you want to write before you write it because of  course, autocorrect is all knowing) can be really funny. sometimes.  With that in mind,  when I saw this joke, it really made me laugh.  If you have a phone with autocorrect, I hope (most of the time) it's able to reflect just exactly how you're feeling!
