If this quote is correct, there's an alien out there somewhere wearing a nice bikini that I lost in some luggage one summer. Ah well, I guess they need it more than I do!  Happy Friday everyone!

If I were a painter

It's the singer Norah Jones's birthday and that got me thinking about a lovely song she sings called "If I were a Painter." I like the song because it's really relaxing. I also like the song because it's about thinking of someone you love and being with them in spirit even though they may be far away in reality. It reminds me that people I love most are always with me, which is a great comfort to me. Plus, I've always loved art. I hope wherever you are, that you can find at least a little art in your life and that you always know that people you love are always with you, in your heart.

Another way to participate in my Dance4Joy2017 Challenge!

So, as I've stated before in previous posts, I started an initiative called Dance4Joy2017 to raise money and awareness for mental health issues.  (See Dance4Joy2017's Facebook page for more details: https://www.facebook.com/Dance4Joy2017/). The idea behind the initiative is to get people to dance or if you'd rather not dance, post your favorite YouTube video of people dancing (it does not have to be you personally dancing) on the Dance4Joy2017 page.  I'm hoping that people will post videos and get other people to post. If you feel like donating money to a mental health related organization of your choice  as part of  Dance4Joy2017 initiative,  that would be awesome! However, what would mean more to me is if Dance4Joy2017 helps people feel good and helps raise awareness about mental health issues. That would make me feel indescribably happy! I want to thank all those who have helped me start the Dance4Joy2017 Initiative.  I send love out to all who read this!

Born This Way

It's the singer Lady Gaga's birthday and to celebrate, I thought I'd write about a song that she sings called "Born This Way." The song is all about just being yourself and loving yourself for who and what you are. I found this video involving kids with disabilities dancing to this song. I love the video because everyone in it is having a wonderful time and celebrating who they are. Although there's always room to grow as people and there are always new things to learn in life, I feel like everyone should be able to be proud of being themselves, no matter what.
