- Listen to the news just to keep updated. Although maybe not too much as it can be rather unnerving. Plus. if something important happens the media is good about talking about the developments more than once so you won't miss much.
- Watch movies, read books, play board games.
- Clean-all right it's not that fun but it does keep one occupied and can be stress relieving-after all, it's nice to have a clean living space.
- Take a nap-sleep is nice!
- Bake something-it's time consuming and creates something yummy and if you're stuck inside with other people, yummy things are nice to share.
- Contact family and friends and keep them updated-saves one from receiving loads of phone calls (on second thought, it might be nice to get multiple calls/e-mails-means people really care!)
- Hug people you love!
- Keep doors and windows locked.
- Don't lose hope-all things come to an end sometime!
- Celebrate when the shelter in place order is lifted!
I set out in life like many idealistic people, with the goal of helping people to live happier and more fulfilling lives. To that end, I've created this blog to spread a bit of cheer each day.

How to spend a day sheltered in place....
For the first time in my life I've had to "shelter in place" e.g. stay holed up in my apartment. Although I hope this never happens again I've decided as a public service to record some possible things you could do in such situations in the hopes that it might be useful for others should future shelter in place events arise.
