in a way I've made happiness a duty throughout my life. I feel like it's a duty that I'm proud to have because happiness (or at least optimism) has helped me get through many things in my life and as a result, happiness has been a beautiful thing for me. In a way, happiness is like a flower in that it grows bigger and more beautiful as it can be spread to others. So, even though staying optimistic isn't always easy, it is fun and it very rewarding, as is making flowers grow.
