Seeing the world in a book

The cartographer Abraham Ortelius was born today in 1527 and he created the first atlas. Although now we have Google and other computer programs to show us where things are in the world, I rather liked looking places up in atlases. We had one in my house growing up and it had all these pictures of people and places I'd never been to and where I might go someday. It somehow made me feel strangely adventurous. To whoever might read this, I wish you every happiness in wherever life takes you!
