The singer Woody Guthrie was born today in 1912 and one of the songs he sang is called Riding in My Car. I heard it today and it made me think of how my Dad (who likes cars from the 1950s, 60s and 70s) used to take me out in his red MG car and we'd go get doughnuts on Saturdays. (I never knew exactly which Saturday we'd go so it was always a nice surprise). So that's why at least to me, there's always been something nice about riding in a car with the top down. Anyway, I heard this song and I thought it was fun so I had to share it here. I send everyone best wishes and much love now and always.
